It's A Three-Diamond Hooker Night

It's a night full of escort romances - from the scandalous to the necessary-for-the-sake-of-comedy. We can say with a clean conscience that we have never employed the services of an escort, unless you count our pity dates to junior year homecoming. Between the bid, limo and dinner, it was only about $100, so we probably got a good deal for that awkward make-out session. WATCH 20/20 [10 PM, ABC] - Diane Sawyer finally talks to Ashley Dupré about life as former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's high-end escort and her music career. One assumes Ashley and ABC waited until after the election to air this to ensure that they received as much attention as possible. Let's hope Ashley has been saving some of that hard-earned dough.

Love Actually [8 PM & 11 PM, Bravo] - Nothing says the capital-H Holidays are here like Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson and everyone else uniting in the fantasy of perfectly-timed yuletide romance. Our favorite threads are the Keira Knightley stalker video triangle, the Colin Firth language barrier thing and the Bill Nighy-chunky manager bromance. Big ups to Bravo for showing it back to back. TiVo Ricky Gervais: Out of England [8:30 PM, HBO] - Aside from appearing on Letterman every five weeks and feuding with Apple's godfather, Ricky occasionally hits the boards and jokes for his supper. This performance was taped at Madison Square Garden, and if you like jokes about Nazis, stupid people and sharks, then the man who would be David Brent has what you need.

The Wedding Date [10 PM, TBS] - Yeah, yeah, Debra Messing sort of ruins a lot of this movie, but Dermot Mulroney is like kryptonite: reducing us to weak puddles on the floor, shivering with every caramel-flavored, baritone line delivery. KILL

Larry the Cable Guy's Star-Studded Christmas Extravaganza [9 PM, CMT] - Larry the Cable Guy hosts his second annual eponymous holiday variety special. Tony Orlando co-hosts, Victoria Jackson and Fred Willard will appear in sketches, and Rodney Atkins, Montgomery Gentry, and Emily West are expected to do songs we all love. L the CG has become a pretty easy punchline for hipsters, but our objection to his special is that last year's was straight-up boring. Like everything in life, if something funny occurs, it'll bubble up to the internet. Hollywood's Nastiest Jobs [10:30 PM, E!] - Maybe that development assistant position isn't so bad, compared to the kid who has to oil the sumo wrestlers or clean up elephant waste. Then again, these people are probably getting paid more than you and they never have to roll calls or order lunch while sitting on hold with Apple tech support.
