Wow, CBS News correspondent Dean Reynolds just unloaded a pissy rant on the Obama campaign, saying the Democratic presidential nominee is going to be punished for not coddling campaign reporters well enough. And it sounds like he thinks Obama deserves it. In a "reporter's notebook" posted to CBSNews.com, Reynolds complains that Obama's people pick up journalists' luggage at a very inconvenient hour. It keeps them waiting for up to two hours in parking lots with nothing to do, bored. And they sometimes force them to travel when they could be on live television, goosing ratings for their corporate overlords. Don't even get Reynolds started on Obama's weak-ass plane!

Our shows place a premium on live reporting from the scene of campaign events. But this campaign can often be found in the air and flying around at the time the "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric" is broadcast...

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama's, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated.

Obama's terrorism against journalists is endless, really. He "seldom banters," even though reporters fly thousands of miles to hang out with him. He distributes his press schedules all wrong. There's no time for stand-ups. The list goes on and on. And on.

Reynolds ends his column with a naked threat: "In politics, everything that goes around comes around." Now that's some mature, well-seasoned political perspective right there.

Reynolds' SHOCKING story of mistreatment is enough to make you think the Obama campaign doesn't really care about impressing the elitist East Coast media. Thank God for John McCain and Sarah Palin who apparently do, and are willing to go that extra mile. Maybe they could work Reynolds' kudos into their campaign somehow??
