Thank you, Julia Allison! The Internet's best self-promoter has uncovered evidence that Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales is still girlfriended by Andrea Weckerle, a social-media PR rep he turned to after the messy breakup of his affair with maple-leaf-waving right-wing punditrix Rachel Marsden. We'd heard they'd call things off, but they seem very much the couple here. Allison generously offered not to post the photo, to spare the couple the "recent ... um ... media attention they've endured." Instead, they jumped at the chance for more publicity. We're delighted to hear Wales is not wanting for female companionship, but Weckerle should watch her back around Allison.Wales has edited Julia Allison's Wikipedia entry — and we all know what that can lead to. Um, no. No you're not. You're either confused on what such a person would actually be like, or (my guess) you're simply saying whatever it is that you think a conservative would say, whether you actually believe it or not.

You might want to try pitching yourself as more of a P.J. O'Rourke-style sex, drugs and rock n roll libertarian. It would be more believable.

Jennifer liked rape fantasies and enjoyed being tied up with bedside lamp cords. They initially hooked up through email. The fallout from the whole abortion ordeal resulted in the young woman having a nervous breakdown, which Jimmy dismissed as her being "crazy".

Jimmy summarized the situation to me with the words: "Well, you roll the dice."

I only wonder why you ever bothered with him - but I guess like most women who catch themselves a scummy man you didn't know until it was too late.

I think the only difference between you and me in regards to Jimmy (if I ever had the misfortune of once dating him like you did) is I would never have given private material such as his IMs to Valleywag or any other website to publish. That's because I believe in protecting people even if I don't like them, as a matter of personal ethics - so I can sleep at night, if nothing else. But what I think won't change the past - it's done. I feel bad for what you had to go through with him.

@emnem ... Are you really that naive? Until Rachel, there had NEVER been any consequences to Jimmy's behavior because of people like you. Until he threatened Rachel (as I recall), nobody was willing to speak up and point out the dirty secrets that Jimmy is hoping will stay buried. The reason Jimmy doesn't speak out is that he is an even greater fraud than even Rachel knows, he has more secrets that he can afford to become public. And somehow he still blames everybody else for his mistakes and problems and you support that philosophy ... denigrate the messenger(s) for Jimmy's lack of character, morals and ethics. Face the fact that Jimmy has (and probably continues) to laugh and ridicule people like you who believe what he says and let him get away with everything. Jimmy believes that you are weak ... and unfortunately in this instance I agree with him.

@Ltic: Oh my, I never said I believed anything Jimmy says. I simply don't care what Jimmy says. What Jimmy says how no effect at all on how I feel about Rachel. Maybe he threatened her with some kind of ruin and maybe he did not. So what? It's a personal matter between the two of them UNLESS he goes out of his way to make it otherwise. If she jumped the gun by running her mouth to scare him into never speaking of her that does not show her up too well. I have little respect for either one of them. Like I said, he is a jerk (something I believed long before Rachel started this shit) and she has NO CLASS OR DISCRETION - OR COMPASSION - whatsoever. Remember, whatever Jimmy is, says, or does, he is still just a fucked-up person like every other fucked-up person on the planet. That would be pretty much ALL of us. Knowing Jimmy I don't even question the veracity of the story. But like watching a train wreck, I am really curious as to the story behind the scenes. It has to be sleazy.

Of course, that's just the tip of the iceberg of Jimbo knowledge to which I'm privy. Which is why it makes little sense to me why he would repeatedly invite public scrutiny into his private life by (a) dumping women on Wikipedia, (b) begging people to post his private photos online, etc.

Dude has more skeletons in his closet than a Halloween haunted house.

As for Ms. Weckerle, she's either dumb, insecure, desperate, or a combination of the above. My guess? She's not asking the right questions of him to determine who the hell she's shagging - which is what I did...and what Jimmy strenuously disliked. I prefer to reality to blissful ignorance. Obviously she doesn't.
