Diane von Furstenberg and husband Barry Diller—who collected $295 million in salary and stock in 2007 as the chairman of IAC—have never had any problems spending money. Look no further than Diller's $200 million boat, EOS, one of the most expensive sailing ships in the world. But some of the money goes to charity, not just hyper-luxurious ocean vessels! The legendarily temperamental media mogul seems to have a softer side, contrary to popular opinion. Below, details on the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation, which seems to be considerably more legitimate than the Diller-von Furstenberg marriage itself.

In 2006, Diller and von Furstenberg dispensed roughly $2.7 million to more than 50 different organizations. Their biggest gift? The $1 million they handed over to Friends of the High Line, a project they have long supported. (After all, Barry's Frank Gehry-designed headquarters for IAC is within spitting distance of the rails.) Other big recipients: Habitat for Humanity ($221,476) and the Motion Picture & Television Fund ($219,000). Some $50,000 went to Brown, which is where both Alex and Alexandra von Furstenberg attended college. And a check for $600 went to the police union in New Milford, Conn., which happens to be not far from von Furstenberg's estate, Cloudwalk Farm, in the town of Litchfield.
