Buried on the bottom edge of your browser, Facebook's new instant-messaging feature "is meant to be really unobtrusive and there when you need it," explains Facebook project manager Peter Deng in a video demonstrating Facebook Chat, below. We know it's unobtrusive because Mark Zuckerburg put Facebook's easily missed Beacon opt-out notifications in the same spot. this is amazing. facebook has revolutionized our ability to keep in touch with people. i would not have been able to stay in touch with all my international friends (from school, work, abroad programs, travels, etc.) in such an organized and fun way if it weren't for facebook.

So this POS only works if you are already in Facebook? Even Lame ole Orkut has that, plus an existing tie-in to Gtalk.
Pathetic.
I wish Facebook would just crash and burn and die already so I could stop hearing about it.
