 · The Liars at the El Rey, Built to Spill and the Meat Puppets at the Echoplex (first of 2 nights!), Marilyn Manson at the Wiltern (first of 2 nights!) and Kimya Dawson at Amoeba. There's also a nice triple bill at the Troubadour tonight, featuring The Lovemakers, Something For Rockets and Astra Heights.

 · It's Hollywood Christmas!
· But if you're not into the whole awards thing, comedian and writer Ben Karlin (and producer of The Daily Show) will be performing material based on his book, Things I've Learned from Women Who've Dumped Me, alongside some of his funniest non-Oscar nominated friends. Andy Richter, Bob Odenkirk and Patton Oswalt will be joining Ben at the Steve Allen Theater.
