If you can't win eyeballs, buy them, says Microsoft
Microsoft is inviting Hotmail users to try its new Live Search Trial Program, which, like a rewards card, offers redeemable points for search-engine use. Wouldn't you skip Google for the sake of free videogames and t-shirts? Microsoft obviously isn't afraid of being the butt of all jokes at regular search-engine gatherings — it tried a similar stunt last July with its "Live Search Club."
