So just how awesome was Laurel Touby's Mediabistro "Golden Boa" party that her husband Jon Fine is still nursing his hangover via Facebook? This awesome:

There were free drinks, lots of girls in feather boas, and Laurel Touby telling everyone how awesome she is. But the gift bags were the worst things I have ever seen. I don't think there's a problem with not having a gift bag at all, if your other option is to have a shitty one. But the bag was horrible. Other than a pen and a CD sampler, the only things in it were ads for Mediabistro classes and programs and a "coupon" for ten percent off one of their October courses. Oh, and a little book called the "NYC Guide to Parking Garages."
