Friday
· Music round-up: Daniel Johnston at the Henry Fonda (again); The Juan Maclean and Rico (of Belle and Sebastian) do a DJ sets at Avalon; Slayer and Marilyn Manson at the Verizon Amphitheater.
· David Marks and Jon Stebbins sign The Lost Beach Boy, the story of Marks's role in the band's history, at Book Soup.

Saturday
· F the Junction: It's Fuck Yeah Fest IV, two days of bands, art shows, and comedy that take place between the Echo, Echoplex, Taix, and the Rec Center.
· More music: Au Revoir Simone at the Troubadour; John Doe at Safari Sam's; Lukas Haas at the Hotel Café.
· The LA Derby Dolls unleash hell on wheels at the Industry Hills Expo Center in City of Industry. In addition to women on rollerskates kicking each other's asses, they have bands and a classic car show.
· Down by the LA River, artists will gather for this year's Frogtown Art Walk.
Sunday
· Still more music: Macy Gray and Brazilian Girls at the Hollywood Bowl; Deerhunter at Echoplex; Brand New Heavies at House of Blues.
· Tickets are still available for the Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre, but actually buying them online probably instantly registers you for some kind of government pervert database. Worth the risk, in our opinion.
