Your Weekend Of Wandering A Small Stretch Of Sunset Blvd. While Grievously Drunk

Friday
· The Anthony Project premieres at the O'Melveny Gallery, a multimedia exhibition that "explores how terminal cancer affects all whom it touches, beginning with the patient and radiating outward," and which pays tribute to cancer victim Anthony Glass, who died in July of 2006. More info here.
· Music round-up: Brodie Hubbard at M Bar; Buzzcocks at Spaceland; Golden State at the Viper Room.
· Some young Hollywood go-getters would like to invite you to spend a relaxing evening at Ritual with the 1,400 or so of the industry assistants who replied in the affirmative to this Evite.
Saturday
· Two eagerly anticipated, yearly festivals will compete for Los Angeles' very soul: Sunset Junction and Tofu Fest. Choose wisely.
· The 7th Annual Fantasy, Horror & Science Fiction Festival Party at the Egyptian should boast a "gathering of the ghouls" only slightly less terrifying than the ones you'll see at the Junction.
· This is the opening weekend for The King of Kong, Seth Gordon's documentary about two men vying for the all-time Donkey Kong high score. With a 97% Tomatometer score, it's probably your best movie bet this weekend. At the Nuart.
Sunday
· More music: Beastie Boys at the Greek; Poets & Pornstars CD release party at the Roxy; RX Bandits at the Troubadour.
· Whenever you wake up in a Sunset Blvd. gutter on day two of the Junc't, wander up the street to the Echo Park Film Center for their Detroit Film Night.
