· The ReadyMade Film Festival takes over Avenue 50 Studio in Highland Park, with live music, booze, and a party following the screening of 20 shorts.
· Hit Venice's Muscle Beach for Tug O'War On The Shore, a benefit for victims of domestic abuse. In addition to the titualr strength competition, there will be a "boulder bob toss" and "Indian dance."
· Morgan Murphy and Jen Kirkman present a talk show they promise is both exactly and nothing like The View at the UCB Theatre, with special guests Tim Heidecker and Michael Penn.
Sunday
· Hanson is playing Spaceland. Yes, that Hanson. They're all growns up!
· The Hollywood Bowl stages South Pacific with Reba McEntire, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Michael McKean, and a full orchestra.
