· The UCB Theatre hosts Harmon Leon: Reality TV Infiltrator!, in which the comedian shares some of his career highlights crashing reality TV sets, and starring in O.J. Simpson's doomed contribution to the hidden-camera genre, Juice'd.
Saturday
· Hollywood Forever screens Howard Hawks' 1940 classic, His Girl Friday, starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, who to our knowledge was never done in by coke-pants.
· Don't let the copious amount of colons in Create:Fixate: Backscatter All-Photography Show scare you away, or even its label of "All-Photography"— this multimedia soirée covers the gamut, including installation art, video designs, glassblowing, fashion, and "the most avant-garde live photo booth ever." · Dead Meadow play the Echoplex, Alice Smith is at the Troubadour, and the John Anson Ford Amphitheater hosts a benefit for San Fernando Valley bookstore Tia Chucha Centro Cultural, featuring Tierra, Ollin, and Upground.
