Magnolia Bakery, the house of cupcakes and whatnots made famous by Sex and the City to the extent that lines of the lonely wrap around its corner most every night, has been closed down by the Department of Health. Would-be Mirandas and the like find their lives even more empty, if that's possible.

The best cupcake in town can be found at Babycakes. These girls basically have a deal going with the devil as they are sugar, wheat, egg and dairy free, for the most part and absolutely scrumptious! (the baked goods, although the girls who work there are all really cute, too!) Now I like a butter covered steak stuffed inside a chicken with cheese sauce as much as the next carnivore, but honestly, these cupcakes (as well as their brownies and sweet and savory loaves) are moist and delicious. I swear to GOD. Make your way over there.
Nice! It's so rewarding to see an overrated bakery and SITC fad get a bitchslap from the heath department. Their cupcakes were sooo dry and not worth waiting in line for.
