The 'mos across the river have begun rushing to get civilly committed, which is gay for "married." Steven Goldstein and Daniel Gross land in the record books as the first Jerseyans to accept the second-rate nuptials, but the Daily News took a look at two other soon-to-be-not-exactly-wedded couples.

The lezes are getting done up at the same Hoboken salon at separate times, the gays are going to sing their vows to each other "because of our love of music and theater"), but our favorite part has to be this, from the gays:

The deejay is under strict instructions NOT to play the Chicken Dance or Electric Slide. First dance is to Harry Connick Jr.'s version of "For Once In My Life" which will be fully choreographed because the pair plans to take dance classes. "There will be a cabaret-style black-and-white theme with everyone dressing in monochrome," adds Christopher. "We want a relaxed lounge atmosphere. It's going to be a fabulous party!"

If this isn't exactly what all the anti-gay-marriage types warned against, it certainly should have been.

Of course, the real test will be if actual Manhattan gays deign to cross the river for a little exercise in impersonating the enjoyment of equal rights. Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler, we're looking at you!
