Death of the Small-Town Paper: Muckleshoot Memories
We're at a loss to send up this column by the Seattle Times' Danny Westneat on small-town-paper nostalgia, primarily because Westneat's laundry list of recollections already seems to combine equal parts treacle and David Lynch:
There was the ex-minister and pedophile who moved back to town. A controversial city plan to shut down a string of bars. A gold bullion dealer raided for money laundering. A local doctor caught having sex with patients.
And those are the good stories; you'll have to plunge in yourself to hear tell of the "resurgence of the Muckleshoot Tribe," which we're pretty sure happened in the last Harry Potter novel. If that's what Weeville papers had to offer the world of yore, then rest in peace.
