We've no idea if the rumor is true, but the current issue includes the following item:

It's been a year since Jessica Simpson's split from ex-husband Nick Lachey, and the 26-year-old doesn't seem to be reveling in her singledom. She's been avoiding the party scene. According to several reports, it's because the singer is depressed over her current life status. Her latest album didn't make much of a dent on the pop scene, and her love life has stalled. Jessica also doesn't have a lot of close friends. The short list includes her wardrobe and hair stylists Jessica Paster and Ken Paves, her sister Ashlee and her pet pooch Daisy.
