A tipster sends word on the glacial pace of the MSNBC layoffs:

The layoffs will be a longtime coming even though they were announced. But so far the groups that are on the chopping block are the bookers and graphics departments.

Any move to 30 Rock is premature at this time since the space isn't set up. There is also going to be a split with the parties involved because daytime programming will be going to 30 Rock but Englewood Cliffs will probably be the home of the nightime bureau.

Here's the kicker. All pretape programming is now being routed to the.Cliffs. The Dateline people are beyond annoyed with this game of musical chairs.
