CondeNet swallows it whole
Making acquisitions one at a time is like juggling just three balls. The real trick is to pull off two deals back-to-back, as Condé Nast just did with Wired News and NutritionData.com (announced today).
Yeah, not exactly identical properties. Wired News was a ragtag crew of dot-com bust survivors and freelancers with a sexy but slow reporting style. NutritionData...more of an ugly collection of food facts. Surprisingly, the property will become part of CondeNet, and not the in-house manual at Vogue for what's safe to binge and what needs to be purged.
