The MTA'S plans for a grand subway hub in lower Manhattan are again being scaled back — and the completion date pushed back, officials said yesterday....

[I]t's back to the drawing board for the $800 million project, officials revealed at a Metropolitan Transportation Authority committee meeting.

The federally funded project, which officials originally hoped to have finished in December 2007, is now slated to be completed in June 2009, according to MTA documents.

And remember: The transportation hubs were supposed to be the parts of all this ridiculousness that were going well. Yep.
