Strange things are afoot at The 'Digm. On Friday, Paradigm empowered a few of its employees to explore the exciting talent management and unemployment fields, making us wonder if an agency merger or acquisition was in the offing, and now an operative slips us this internal e-mail from Fearless Leader Sam Gores, which somewhat cryptically (apocalyptically?) touts an unspecified "next chapter" in the agency's development. Fans of agency interoffice correspondence, enjoy:

From: Sam Gores Sent: Tuesday, April 25, 2006 2:56 PM To: All Paradigm Users Subject: Another chapter at Paradigm

Paradigm has been growing rapidly, and successfully over the last couple of years, and we are very proud of that.

As expressed in our retreat of June 2005 the leaders at Paradigm established the guiding principles of, a strong work ethic, and a level of excellence in the representation of our clients. We also promised to make the changes necessary to support and promote those self starting individuals with high standards, who work as a team in an effort to propel Paradigm into the future of our rapidly changing industry.

We are a young hungry company at the footsteps of achieving our goal, of becoming the most effective, quality driven, and client centered agency in the entertainment community. We have been very successful in our growth efforts primarily due to those of us who move with a sense of urgency on behalf of our clients as well as our colleagues.

We will continue to grow strategically, without losing sight of our mission. In the areas of motion pictures, television, theatre, books, and music, we have become large enough to compete with anyone, yet we have avoided the temptation to get so big, as to lose sight of our clients' needs.

I am personally very, very excited about our next chapter, as every single division at Paradigm is experiencing extraordinary successes.

Thank you all for your loyalty, and commitment to our growth.........we will continue to empower those people throughout the company, who are committed to our journey, and they will always have a place at Paradigm.

SAM

We have no idea what to make of this, but we do offer one suggestion to any Paradigm employee who hasn't been told where the "journey" leads: If Gores suddenly starts going cube-to-cube offering cups of Kool-Aid, politely refuse. Trust us on this one.
