By way of a public service announcement to our readers at Paramount who may not have checked their e-mail yet, we're happy to pass along this bulletin from late yesterday afternoon warning them of some impending effects work on the lot:

EXPLOSION ON NEW YORK STREET

Tomorrow, April 25, 2006, Production will be filming an explosion effect on New York Street. The effect is tentatively scheduled to happen between 10am - 11am. The explosion will produce a very loud boom and will only be done once. We wanted to alert you to this activity.

For your safety, access to New York Street will be restricted.

Paramount staff hearing the explosion can rest assured that it's a planned part of an authorized production, and put aside any paranoid thoughts of Brad Grey speeding away in a helicopter as the lot is reduced to rubble beneath a mushroom cloud, cackling to himself, "If I can't run this place, no one will"
