The executives at the network that brought us Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Queer Eye for the Straight Girl, Project Runway, Boy Meets Boy, Gay Weddings, Showdog Moms & Dads, Sean Hayes' Situation: Comedy, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, and Blowout have decided the time has come to start courting a gay audience:

The Bravo network is expected to announced today that it is joining with PlanetOut Inc., the largest gay media company in the country, to start a new broadband channel on the Web aimed specifically at gays and lesbians.

The site, called OutZonetv.com, will include streaming video content in the form of shows of up to half an hour.

In keeping with the rest of the content on their gay personals-servicing parent site, program listings on OutZonetv may just offer a flattering guideline: For example, an episode of Queer Eye listed as "Air date: Jan '06, Running time: 60 minutes," will probably end up being at least three years older than that once you get a good look at it, and, perhaps even more disappointingly, much shorter than the length advertised.
