The first month of the year new year ended yesterday, and, in addition to giving us a fresh page on our big wall calendar, it also meant it was time to check on all our favorite New York Times cultural critics to figure out who gets to wear the "Most Inaccurate January" sash.

We have some shocking news: Alessandra Stanley did not win.

Indeed, she ranks only third, much to our shock. Here's the list of the top five most-corrected Times critics in January:

1. Nicolai Ouroussoff, architecture critic: 5 citations, 2 corrections, 40%

2. William Grimes, book critic: 4 citations, 1 corrections, 25%

3. Alessandra Stanley, TV critic: 14 citations, 3 corrections, 21%
