There's a big night of Media Christmas parties tonight, including the one we're perhaps most excited for: New York's karaoke party at Encore. (Though we wouldn't mind being invited for dinner at Ruth Reichl's, either, as is her Gourmet editorial staff is this evening.)

We have little to report from last night, except that we're told jagermeister shots were involved at the Observer's festivities. And for earlier in the week, can hear that CNN's party was terrible — wagged a CNNer, "It was awful, boring... when your biggest (and only) draws are Soledad and Miles plus the flacks, hey, what do you expect?" — and Martha Stewart's was Djed by Grandmaster Flash. Commented the MSLO spy, "I dunno if thats a low point in his career, or for Omnimedia."
