UTA Brings Lottery Spirit To Christmas
Yesterday, an e-mail announcing that UTA's apparently Willy Wonka -themed holiday gift (Johnny Depp's a client, natch, and the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory DVD is still available at a retailer near you!) hit the inbox of potentially lucky assistants:
Subj: UTA's Corporate Assistant Gift - Please Read!
This year several dozen lucky recipients will unwrap their "UTA Holiday Lucky Bar" (a huge chocolate bar) to discover Golden Tickets worth anywhere from $100 to $5000. The winners have been pre-selected at random by a third party accounting firm (not even UTA knows who the winners are). About 1400 UTA Lucky Bars get delivered to recipients tomorrow!
Variety reports that about 1,400 of the chocolate bars were set to go out today, meaning that by the end of the day, there will be "several dozen" ecstatic lottery winners, and 1,350 or so disappointed, jealous assistants deciding whether a $2 piece of promotional candy or a semifunctioning CAA camcorder is a worse holiday gift.
And it should go without saying that we welcome reviews (it's Christmas every day at Defamer!) of the chocolate bar, from winners and losers alike, although we imagine that the winners will have their hands full trying to fight off the unlucky coworkers trying to tear them limb from limb.
