The New York Observer, Sept. 29, 2003: "Alex Kuczynski ... is currently at work on a book for Doubleday about women and power."

Publishers Weekly, Aug. 8, 2005: "Beauty Junkies: Inside Our Obsession with Cosmetic Surgery (Dec., $24.95) by Alex Kuczynski examines today's obsession with aesthetic perfection and casts a wary eye on cosmetic enhancements."

Houston Chronicle, Aug. 28, 2005: "September nonfiction.... In 'Beauty Junkies' reporter Alex Kuczynski pokes her nose into the $ 15 billion cosmetic-surgery industry."
