Attend the Time of Year When We Stop to Raise Money
Thoughts on two consecutive nights of Broadway theater:
• It's apparently Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS solicitation time again.
• Watching the demon barber of Fleet Street kill most of London doesn't much put you in the mood to be asked for money.
(Thankfully, they didn't ask. We hope that restraint — and the excellent production it concluded — lasts.)
