As the sweet release of the weekend draws ever closer, drown your sack of cubicle-blues kittens in the swift river of our box office projections:

1. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit—$16 million
Call us traditional or prudish, but it's so nice to see someone using animation to explore a subject other than their personal obsession with necrophilia, ya know? People afraid of explaining to their kids the unsavory wedding night complications of marrying a corpse now have a family-friendly choice.

2. In Her Shoes—$14 million
OK, we get it: The sneaky marketers for In Her Shoes want you to know that you don't have to have female reproductive organs to buy a ticket. But you probably do need a smooth brain to buy Cameron Diaz as anything but one of Charlie's Angels.

3. Flightplan—$9 million
Jodie Foster: So strong, so icy, yet so fiercely maternal. We'd let her protect our children from terrorists (while we blubber and beg for our lives) anytime.

4. Two For The Money—$8 million
At this point, someone needs to put Al Pacino (and DeNiro, if there's room) on an ice-floe and let him spend the rest of his overacting days drifting in the ocean. We've probably suggested this before, but obviously no one was listening.

5. A History Of Violence—$6 million
We believe in the power of Viggo. But should he fail us, we'll take a flier on Tim Burton's ode to cadaver-blasting eking into fifth place.
