Time and Space Are Relative, Particularly During Campaign Season
An AP lede, moved last night:
Mayor Michael Bloomberg celebrated the completion Monday of a $23 million renovation of Columbus Circle intended to create a tranquil oasis in the middle of one of the city's noisiest intersections.
The final paragraph of the same article:
Bloomberg said the final piece of the project, the restoration of the 80-foot statue of Christopher Columbus that presides over the Manhattan circle, would begin next spring.
Which makes for an interesting definition of "completion."
