9/12, 7pm, Chelsea Clinton and bf Ian Klaus at Freeman's for Save New Orleans Cocktail Hour. Chelsea looking cute and conservative in grey work pants and striped button down, hair blonde and pulled back, strange eye make up sort of dark and smudgy. Both talked to the bartender for a few minutes and then left without ordering.

A few days ago, in first class with Scarlett Johansson from Minneapolis to New York. She's a bit uptight and doesn't even say excuse me when she pushes people out of the way to get to the rest room. Her parents should have done a better job with the manners part.

I went to see The Brothers Grimm at Loews 34th Street on 8/27 and was looking for a seat in the back of the theater. As I approached two empty seats the woman in the row behind them said in an Australian accent, "I'm sawry, those ah tayken." It was a bespectacled Nicole Kidman, hair pulled back, looking pretty damn good without trying too hard. We followed her out of the theater. She's at least 6'8" and has a 12 inch waist.

Saw Billy Crudup after the Pillowman on Thursday - September 8th. Very short but very good looking. Was extremely nice to fans. Took numerous pictures of him with fans. no sight of Jeff Goldblum. Billy left on a motorcycle. Totally wanted to jump on!! Also saw Conan O Brien at the show. Was with wife, who seemed about 5 months pregnant.

Met Courtney Cox yesterday at the Sephora store. She is tiny, both short and uber-skinny. Shook her hand and it was very bony. She seemed nice; resisted the urge to ask her how Jen was handling things.

9/13 - At Sephora on 5th Ave (near Rockefeller center) an eerily patroness store was taken over by a black SUV parked outside, a snotty gay-and-girls film crew with wires in their ears to make them look important and employees (overheard saying "steal her bag") who awaited the entrance of SOMEone important. I was hoping it was Jessica Simpson or another equally vapid cosmetics schlepper but in walks the surprisingly tall and thin Kimora Simmons. I'm still not sure why she's famous aside from getting pinched for
driving while smoking blunts and having a clothing line her hip hop hubby funded (to keep her away from spending his bankroll). I also was not aware that it was possible to airbrush someone who was ALIVE. Her skin had a very "Jackson" look to it which would keep me far, far away from whatever product she's endorsing.

Thursday at La Esquina I was sitting two tables from Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams (very, very pregnant). Saturday afternoon in SoHo, I saw Jay-Z and Beyonce shopping and strolling. Monday night at Marquee Alessandra Ambrosio (and various other model-types), Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Jesse Palmer (why is he still in NY, didn't the Giants cut him? I'm not sure if he even counts as a celebrity anymore).

This is my fashion week so far, in a really nice nutshell: The Williams sisters at Oscar de la Renta really have huge asses that would make you think couture prolly does not go with, um, an ass I could rest a coffee cup upon. At As Four, I sat behind Kelly Osbourne and at first I thought "whoa, she is waaaay thinner than you would think," but since I was BEHIND her I realized not only are all her diamonds huge and mesmerizing, and her skin is nice, but also that she is strapped into a corset and that her back fat is seriously doing Niagara Falls over her confinement. Some beasts cannot be tamed. PLUS her publicist is a mega bitch with her own huge diamonds.

Also saw Candace Bushnell at Barnes and Noble. She is really skinny too. Decent crowd showed up but nothing like the massive crowds that show up for David Sedaris. Saw Veronica Webb (African-American model) in attendance.

I saw Wilmer Valderrama from "That '70s Show" last night at Marquee with a bunch of young (but actually kinda trashy-looking) girls. He's very short in person, and not really that cute (I really don't see how he dates the people he does). He also seemed really immature - I was standing with some friends near the banquet/table they were at, and he was jumping around like a brat, and we heard him referring to himself in the third person as "El Huevo del Fuego". I guess Mandy, Lohan et al must go for the Latin thing...

This afternoon I'm walking toward my office on 51st Street, and look up in time to see Richard Lewis approaching from the other direction. He is, of course, wretching and kvetching, the whole bit, because that's what he does. Exactly what you'd expect, except that he looks about sixty million years old now. When I get within a few feet of him, he pauses his expansive, fretful hand gesture in mid-air, gawks at my chest for a second, then finishes the gesture, and says "UN-be-LEEEEVE-able, I tell you!" I don't know if anyone really cares about Richard Lewis, but it made my day.

I haven't done this before but, last night's collection of celebrities at Marquee was too good not to send in. I guess it was because of fashion week, but there were more anonymous tall women there than I've ever seen in one place (makes one feel oh so insecure...). Also, there were people with names: Naomi Campbell, Usher, Jake Gyllenhall (apparently down from the Toronto Film Festival), Wilmer Valderrama, and Jesse Palmer. I also heard that Jack Johnson dropped by after his Central Park show, but I didn't see him myself.

Saw Marky Ramone (of The Ramones) DJing at a GBH event this past Sat 9 / 10 at Movida. His first 3 songs were all Ramone songs. It got the crowd in a frenzy. By the way the crowd that night must have been toddlers when The Ramones were big.

Sunday night @ 9 30pm at Lucky Strike in the back dining room, saw one of the Olsen twins was unsure initially which one it was but turns out it was definitely Ashley. We compared her to the picture of her in this past NYT Sunday Styles section. She was with about 5 or 6 of the biggest wankers with the worst hair ever. Like loud LA types who were sitting in the back of the not very crowded restaurant. The woman I was with was like "Who are those idiots and why are they trying to attract so many people to them by being so loud and obnoxious?" and then she was like "Oh I think it s a celeb. sighting. So I turned around and there she was. I feel like she was so small so could barely see over the table.

Just saw Peter Dinklage on corner of 40th and 5th. He was secure enough in his (little) manhood to be rocking the pink alligator shirt. He was on his cell phone. Probably begging his agent for another spot on Entourage next season.

Tuesday night in the NYPD Tow Pound on 38th & 10th about 1AM Sam Cassell (NBA player) walks in with two girls to pay his $185 and get his ride back.

I saw Sarah Jessica Parker and her little boy this morning (9/14) walking down 7th Avenue between 12th and 13th streets. To say she is tiny is an understatement, I am 5 1' and i felt huge next to her. She was slightly incognito in very big dark glasses and straightened hair. They were very cute together, holding hands and walking.

Within a two block radius, I saw Calista Flockhart strolling along Prince Street in a baseball cap, Capri pants and dark glasses. She's short and thin but not as scarily anorexic as she used to be

Saw "The Constant Gardener" on the upper west side Saturday and was leaving the theater very depressed until I spotted Kyra Sedgwick walking towards me. She looked fabulous, she was smiling and talking with her hands to someone who appeared to be interviewing her. Walking about ten feet behind her, dressed completely in black (including a black knit cap) was Kevin Bacon. He was obviously trying to keep some distance from his wife during the interview but he was walking in a bizarre, almost drunken fashion. He had his hands in his back pockets and was meandering back and forth on the sidewalk; left, right, left, right. I almost ran right into him. He has longish hair right now and looks older than his wife but is still handsome. My boyfriend was happy to point out how small he is, and he is indeed quite small and thin.

So after that my boyfriend and I continue on, making a left onto Columbus and continuing to feel a little shitty when we spot Chris Rock sitting in a window table eating with who I assume to be his wife and little girl. He looked right at me and then turned his head real quick and covered his face as though he was afraid I was going to make a scene or something. Whatever. A couple days later while leaving work I spot 50 cent and a large entourage of very big men heading into a recording studio in midtown.

I was in line for beer and hamburgers behind Glenn Close at the Jack Johnson show in Central Park last night. She was with two older men (one was her husband/partner/whoever), and they bought red wine in plastic cups. Very classy.

Sat at a table next to John Cho (of Harold & Kumar...) with John Francis Daley (of freaks & geeks and now kitchen confidential) at olives in the W. JFD is pretty hot for being all of 20 years old. The third guy sitting with them took a folded napkin to his crotch and began to stroke it like a monstrously large linen hard-on. I asked what he was doing and he kindly apologized.

First she was the ridiculously hot woman walking across 3rd at Ave A, then she was the ridiculously hot woman who looked like someone I knew getting into the car next to me, then she was Chan Marshall, the ridiculously hot woman whose voice I probably love most. And she was gone. Dammit.

Just saw Rachel Hunter at the corner of 52nd St and 6th Ave. She was trying to catch a cab going uptown. She was wearing a tan dress and she looked beautiful. The some guys in the crowd waiting to cross the street were saying they wished they were cab drivers so they could pick her up.

On 9/13 I was in the Sprint store in the Flatiron building and in walked a very fit Morgan Spurlock. He had been biking, was very sweaty, and his face was beet red. The goateed populist was waiting in the frustratingly long line like everyone else (celebrities, they're just like real people!), periodically wiping sweat off his head. While some guy was trying to make small talk with him, I'm pretty sure he blew his nose in his sweat towel.

Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers at Red Cat in Chelsea, waiting with friends at the bar for half an hour for a table. No star trips, they just chatted and drank amiably. We guessed the crowd was from the nearby Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, where Amy's a playa. She's TINY!!

I was in Ralph Lauren flagship store and happened to see Jenna Von Oy, who played "Six" in the hit show "Blossom." I used to have the biggest crush on her in 1993, so I politely asked her how she was and if she still acted, she told me she did not and was married to a doctor here in Manhattan and volunteers at an animal shelter on Long Island. I don't know if she bought anything as I left before she did.
