Earlier tonight, the Hohan herself, Lindsay Lohan, at Bungalow 8. Do Bungalow sightings even count because everyone goes there? She actually looked to be having fun, not getting all messed up. Not too juicy, I know, but let's hope the girl's seeing the error of her ways.

Saturday afternoon 8/27 spotted Robert Redford at the Friedlander exhibition at MOMA. dressed casually in jeans with a yellow baseball hat that did not need to say "sundance" for recognition purposes. yes he's a bit craggly but ridiculously handsome still. he also had some sort of glow about him. backlighting perhaps?

Yesterday (8/25), spotted a bearded Nathan Lane crossing 58th Street on 8th Ave. towards the Park. He must have been in a hurry, as he crossed against the light and had to skip/jog to avoid the oncoming traffic.

I saw Paul McCartney, wife, and baby in a stroller yesterday afternoon at 55th Street and 6th Avenue. This is the third time I have seen them on that exact corner (where I work) in the past year and a half—the first time when Heather was pregnant. Each time Paul is pushing the stroller and Heather is dressed super fashionably and wearing stilettos, chattering away while Paul listens stone-faced. This time she had her hand in his back pocket while they walked, like a teenager. Both are seemingly oblivious to the groups of people turning and gawking in their wake. They must either have an apt in the area or stay at the Ritz Carlton.

So last night (8/25) I was getting into a cab with my friend around 12:40 am near University and 9th. We were stopped at a light and three guys were crossing the street in front of us. My friend (who has the celeb sighting eyes of a hawk) says "There's Matt Dillon". I stared as best I could through the windshield and G&T induced haze but I just could not see that the short, skinny, lanky haired man in red t-shirt and jeans was actually Matt Dillon. "Thats not him, I don't recognize him", I said, and my friend kept saying "its him, its him". So I obviously rolled down the window and shouted "Matt!" after the trio, and lo and behold, the man in question whipped around. The cabbie, my friend, and I took off giggling.

A friend of mine and I were at the Starbucks on 40th and Lexington Monday around 2pm, when we saw Nicole Kidman sitting with a friend (didn't look familiar) with her back facing the door. We didnt think it was her at first, as she looked much younger than she is. She was dressed very low key in jeans, cute black and white checkered blouse, with her hair pulled back, and little make up. She is rail thin, but looked pretty. Someone sneaked a pic of her with his cell phone and as she was about to leave with her aviator sunglasses on, a male fan came over to to talk to her and say goodbye. She smiled and shook his hand and looked happy.

I passed Maggie Gyllenhaal just now; she was walking east on 42nd btwn 5th and 6th. She looked so much cuter in person than she does in pictures. I always thought she was super-tall, but she's about 5'7 or 8". She's very tan, was in a cute denim skirt and top. Very radiant. She was talking on her cell, had a huge smile, and as I passed her she laughed a little and said "I love you too." I wonder who the lucky guy is.

saw Keanu Reeves rocking jeans and a blazer looking quite scruffy and disheveled having dinner at Il Cantinori on 10th and university on fri. 8/26. sort of made me long for the close-cropped days of speed,
honestly.

Jessica Lange at Whole Foods in Union Square, wearing some cargo-style pants and a snug top. She looked very tanned but her face looked plastic surgery and Botox tight and a little rounded. Her body is in good shape but the face... her eyes looked like little pig eyes, small, dark and buried in her head.

Saturday, 8/27, coming back from brunch with my boyfriend, I saw Matt Damon out jogging (and when I say jogging I mean running really, really fast) on the sidewalk of Bowery near Cooper Union. He was wearing a blue baseball cap and a blue t-shirt and was listening to headphones. Maybe he was heading to Crunch? We locked eyes as he ran by and I smiled, then I did the total New York blow off as in "I know you know I know who you are but I'm pretending I don't care".

Friday 8/26 afternoonish. Claire Danes walking and talking on cell on lafayette between bleeker and bond streets. casual, slightly greasy, and thin (good- looking-thin, although any more weight loss would place her in the bobble-headed-feed-me- seymour category). anywho, not a noteworthy entry except that girlfriend unabashedly STARES at me every time i see her. perhaps i look like someone she knows, but i SWEAR, I every damn time i see her, she gives me a bitchy one-over, like i'm gonna snatch that Billy love-em-and-leave-em-in-the-third-trimester Crudup from her. seriously.

Saturday night at 1492 Food on the Lower East Side on Clinton Street the very cute Scarlett Johansson and her Minnesotan lover boy Josh Hartnett cuddling over drinks at the back table in the garden. If it wasn't already painfully official . . . there goes the neighborhood.

Monday, August 29. 2:30pm. Topher Grace and mother-like creature walking back and forth near Houston and Elizabeth intersection. Think I heard them mention something about finding pizza. He has a nerdy bounce to his step, but, overall, is cute.

On Wednesday, I saw Noah Wyle wearing what could only be described as a safari outfit (perhaps it was his plebeian getup) effortlessly swinging shopping bags from Gucci over his right shoulder... walking down Madison on 64th.

On Friday night (8/26) around midnight I was sitting on 3rd and B and simply staring at passers-by when I see a dark bushy haired hipster chick in all black happily telling a story to a blond woman. She looks like Bjork, I thought. When the two women approached the bushy haired woman telling the story happened to be telling it in an Icelandic accent. It was Bjork... heard she lives in the neighborhood.

8/26 Saw David Schwimmer on the corner of 38th and Madison, frattily attired in camo cargo shorts and a buttondown shirt and talking on his cell (freakishly skinny legs btw). Lemme' tell you, he was not too Friend-ly. He ducked into a doorway when he heard my friend stage-whisper, "That's David Schwimmer," and dashed off when my other friend tried to get a second look. You can run, but you can't hide, Mr. Washed-Up Sitcom Star.

I was out with some friends last night and saw Mike Myers at the Blue Mill Tavern (formerly Grange Hall). He seemed normal and was just basically hanging out with friends. Some people asked him about his meal and I think he even offered them a bite.

So yesterday Thursday Aug 25, I was in the lobby of The Martime Hotel and saw Eliza Dushku with a guy walking with a bag of groceries up to their hotel room. Maybe they were eating in

On Thursday, 8/25, my friend was taking my girlfriend and I out to Ono for a late meal. At about 11:30, as we came to the corner of 13th and 9th, we saw Phish frontman, Trey Anastasio crossing 13th Street. We rolled down the windows and yelled hello, to which he responded, "Can we have a ride?" So Trey, his friend, and a hot blonde piled into the back seat with me. Trey was extremely nice, and far better dressed than his fans. He was shaking my girlfriend's hand and definitely not letting go for a while. He was asking about where we went to school, and said he wanted to go back to school to major in business. We dropped them off not too far away, and they politely thanked us and went on their way. He and his friends were really nice.

Saw Chris Parnell at the photographic exhibit at MoMa Sunday afternoon (August 29th) around 3:45. He was moving around swiftly. He was wearing a tight, well- worn polo shirt with stripes. To my surprise, he is much shorter than I had envisioned him to be. No one else noticed him.

Saw Martha Plimpton a couple of days ago on UWS on 98th-ish St carrying groceries. I know she hasn't made a movie in a while but I like her. Anyway, she looked very cute, short blonde hair and sort of compactly put together. I was talking on my phone, and smiling and looking right at her, so it might have looked like I was smiling at her, because she made eye contact like "God, please don't say anything to me." I didn't.

Saw Derek Jeter and Tino Martinez at Sutton Place. Not sure why I was at such a frat/hoochie-friendly place, let alone them. They were surrounded by recent NYU grads and Derek s trainer was shepherding the cute ones inside the bodyguard loop.
