Pearl Oyster Bar—Friday night the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin were seated a few tables away. They were Apple-less and seemed very much in love in a low-key kind of way. It was sweet because they seemed really nice. Gwynnie is a true beauty, ethereal, blonde, no make up, dressed down but hip.

Sitting on a stoop in the West Village this afternoon 8/5 when my friend grabbed my arm and started squealing like a mad woman causing me to look up right into the dangerously sexy, dark brown eyes of Gael Garcia Bernal . He was wearing dorky, cool black rimmed glasses and talking quietly on his cell. He came right up to us and as my heart beat loudly against my ribs he said, "permiso". Apparently we had parked ourselves in his doorway. He was very polite and smiley. Yes he is on the short side and yes he does have a large head and no it doesn't matter at all, the man is stunning. Gael, darling, you have my permiso any day, any time. I think I can die now.

Woke up extremely hung over this morning 8.5, my roommate and I did a quick run through at the Urban Outfitters on 6th ave and Washington Pl. when an adorable Maggie Gyllenhaal asked my roommate where she got her skirt. No make up and still adorable. Overheard an employee say Kirsten Dunst was browsing the mens dept.

saw Natalie Portman at the MIA concert at summerstage. very petite and hair is growing back. was very gracious to let all these people take pictures of her and ask for her autograph while she is just trying to enjoy the concert. was very cringy to watch when people started to recognized her and come up to her. but she was a totally good sport!

My hubby and I were crossing Continental Ave. and Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills, Queens. Mr. Bobby Brown was in his white SUV at the red light. He had all the windows down in an almost sad cry for acknowledgement. He looked surprisingly healthy, yet at the same time seemed to be on a weed-hunt and looking for anyone shady enough to be selling it. Boyfriend was in Yuppy-slash-Jewish-ville looking to score weed. It was really sad. He kept circling around. Truly sad. I think he was looking for Jamaica which is a mile and a half away. So he was jonesin' and lost at the same time. Remarkably sad!

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey ate lunch today 8/5 at Pastis. On the way out there were a few paparazzi and regular people. One girl had a Louis Vuitton bag and asked Jessica to autograph it on her way out. Jessica agreed to signed it and she said, "Oh my God this is real, I feel bad signing it!". The girl happily walked away with her autographed Louis bag.

I saw Liv Tyler on Saturday walking into Ralph Lauren on Bleecker st. She was holding the door open so that her husband could push their beautiful baby's stroller into the door. She looked beautiful herself.

I saw Amy Sedaris (8/7) at Karen's on Astor. She was sampling the daily soups with a few friends and made a point of turning around and apologizing to me for, I guess, holding up the line. She is very pretty and petite, not at all like the oddballs she usually plays—I almost didn't recognize her. Seemed very nice as well.

My friend and I saw a movie at the W. 23rd movie theatre. After we got out we noticed all these trailers and figured they must be filming something (hey, we're quick!). My friend asked a gentleman what they were filming. He very politely said, "It's a movie called 'The Hoax'". I thanked him and as we were walking about I told her he looked familiar to me. It was Alfred Molina. Nice guy.

Saw a very casually dressed Josh Hartnett at the Scout Niblett/Grizzly Bear show at the Knitting Factory on Friday night. No idea why he was there, or why he was with two petite dudes who looked like teenagers (or at least had teenage moustaches). Overall, refreshingly unobtrusive and he definitely wins points for good taste in music. The hipsters, naturally, didn't acknowledge his presence.

This weekend (8/06) at the Drift Inn in the Hamptons I saw Kevin Connelly (of Entourage fame). Although he is VERY short, he is really, really cute. Chatted with him from for bit, was a very nice just regular guy. Was there with a group of his friends (one of which my friend made out with) —and seemed to be having a really good time—said he grew up going there. I read in pg 6 yesterday that apparently Nicky Hilton broke up with him—I wish I would have known that cause I definitely would have flirted more if that is true .

Saw Claire Danes yesterday 8/7 at the 3:35 showing of Junebug at the Angelika. Not with Billy, with a gay boy buddy. Looked really pretty and thin but not lollipopish in person. Wearing a nice brown top and pants.

Sunday afternoon (8/7) I walked into Gristede's on 24th and 9th Ave and got in line right behind Mario Cantone. He's very little and the best part, he had a "Sex and the City" freebie tee shirt on! Hey, I haven't moved on yet either, it's ok.

Around noon on Friday (8/5) I spotted Adrian Grenier (Entourage, Drive Me Crazy) at my local deli on Lafayette Ave (near BAM) in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Dressed in jeans, dark blue T-shirt, and blue sneakers, he looked very relaxed and just as cute as his character on Entourage (I immediately knew it was him). He was just sort of poking around at the deli offerings as I feigned the same. As his female companion purchased something, he invited her accompany him to a toy store.

Friday I emerged from the subway on 60th and 5th to see Parker Stevenson posing for a picture with his kids using the Plaza Hotel as a backdrop. I wanted to tell him that "Probe" was my favorite tv show as a kid, but decided to be passive and just go to work, since I was already an hour late.

Thursday 8/4, around 10PM. Saw Johnny Knoxville walking down Lafayette Street outside Spring Street Natural. Never thought much of him one way or another but admit he seemed pretty cool even though he still sports those generic work pants and a chain from belt to wallet. Was really friendly as he stopped to ask two police for directions somewhere then hung out and chatted for a while before autographing one of the cops notebooks. Was with (I think?) his wife and son. She walked slightly behind him, was much shorter than he is, and looked slightly bedraggled.

almost mowed over Laura Innes (dr. weaver on e.r.) and child(ren?) at the corner of broadway and prince today. it was really way too crowded for a stroller on that corner. she has a very pretty china-doll face in real life.

Saw Will Arnett on the corner of Greenwich Ave and W12th St around 4:00 today (Friday 8/5). Looking very fit and handsome, on his own, dressed in fancy work-out types clothes.

Was walking past the W Hotel in Union Square last night 8/4 at around 7:30 and saw Ice Cube walk out of the hotel, or maybe coming from Olives restaurant. He was with a bigger guy, looked like a bodyguard, and was about to light a cigar. I said hey xXx, what s up. No response.

8/4 saw Martha Plimpton, looking extremely skinny with short spiky hair, in the Rockefeller Center J. Crew, trying on a pink tweed blazer. the gentleman she was with paid for it, despite her hysterical protests that it cost "way too much" and was "ridiculous". (it cost $235). then she started to tear up as he told her about something nice he was doing for his niece. but she looked very nice in the size 0 blazer.

Monday, 8/1 @ 730PM - I was on my way to the Yard at the Soho Grand to meet some friends. As I was walking past the entrance I notice Simon LeBon of Duran Duran walking in with some friends. Hasn't really aged well. Not to mention his hair color looks like it was a bad one out of a box! Decided to snoop around. Apparently the band was having a party in the ph loft. Tried to get access, but a no go. Glad I didn't, ended up literally bumping into John Taylor who although aged, still looks good. Funny to see him in button down and blazer though.

Sunday 8/7 during the intermission of The Pillowman overheard Tyne Daley of Cagney and Lacey fame bitch to someone on her cell that the play was too long which doesn't make sense until you realize her crappy 80's television show was an hour long.
