Because this sounds like a good cause, and because watching the bloody spectacle of agency assistants getting drunk and trying to sing competitively would be worthwhile cause even if no charity was involved, today's To Do list consists of just one item. But if you're going to participate, please try and remember that it's a charity event, and strangling a colleague from CAA for not nailing the high notes of "Bohemian Rhapsody", while admirable under many circumstances, is probably not appropriate tonight. Enjoy:

In the grand tradition of “Star Search,” “American Idol” and “Agency Beirut,” Wheelhouse is proud to announce that this Thursday evening, June 30th, at El Guapo Cantina we will be hosting INDUSTRY IDOL.

This night of competitive KARAOKE will go toward raising $5,000 to send Paradigm lit assistant Kerri Bogda to Ghana to help build a school for “unaccompanied” refugee children through the non-profit group Creative Visions.

Please come cheer your friends, jeer your rivals and support a great cause as participants from teams representing UTA, Industry, Paradigm, Endeavor, CAA, Management 360, ICM and others compete for the grand prize!

Ben Gleib (www.gleib.com), whom you may know from the Late Late Show, College Night at The Improv, or The Gleib Show, will emcee.

Judging will be based on audience approval as teams will compete in a round robin format.

There may still be some room to add teams, so if you think you have the stuff, contact oprout@paradigmla.com for entry rules.

Contributions will be accepted at the door. If you can’t come but would still like to help, contact Kerri at okina@paradigmla.com. More information on the cause can be found at www.tendaysmission.blogspot.com.

Be good, keep rockin’, and above all things don't stop believing...
