A helicopter carrying six tourists on a sightseeing trip crashed into the East River about an hour ago, just after takeoff from the South Street Seaport helipad.

All six and the pilot were rescued and brought to area hospitals; six of the seven walked away. Still, on top of yesterday's shooting of tourist who was shopping, it's a shitty week to be visiting America's Second Home™. Also, a reminder of why you should never accept accept Billy Joel's offer to fly you out to the Hamptons.
