In a commencement speech at Berkeley this weekend, actor Warren Beatty finally gave voice to liberal Hollywood's frustrations with California's action-star-cum-governor:

"It's become time to define a Schwarzenegger Republican — a Schwarzenegger Republican is a Bush Republican who says he's a Schwarzenegger Republican," Beatty said. "Can't we accept that devotion to the building of the body politic is more complex and a little more sensitive than devotion to body-building? "Does that make me a 'girlie-man'?" asked one of the 20th century's most famous Lotharios.

"Governor — I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Governor, you're no Kennedy Democrat."

Yes, it's abusing a tired meme to compare the public trading of insults to "playing the dozens" (which we've been guilty of in the past), but...AWWWWW SNAP, YO! The Governor's camp dismissively respined by calling the actor a "crackpot." In the interest of letting this exchange end respectfully, we hereby invoke our right to refrain from making a joke involving Beatty's "bizzoner," Maria Shriver's ribs, and the noises a xylophone makes when struck by a blunt instrument. Polite political discourse can thank us later.
