Fauxteur Fashion Minute: Bay's Still A Bad Boy
Having blatantly ignored our exhortations to pay better attention to contemporary fashion and napalm the 80s out of his walk-in closet, hacky The Island director/amateur philosopher Michael Bay is once again forced to walk the sartorial plank of the Fauxteur Fashion Minute:
I went to a press event for the Island last night (free dinner!) and saw Michael Bay in all his over-sized, grey t-shirted glory. The best part was that the event was sponsored by Puma and they were giving away (admittedly ridiculous) shoes to everyone, but MB was still wearing his beat white sneakers (Nikes?) that looked 200 years old. Then again, when you have Scarlett Johansson on your arm, I suppose not many people are checking out your shoes.
We don't care if Puma was handing out clown shoes with images of Jerry Bruckheimer emblazoned on the toes, Bay missed an easy opportunity for a footwear upgrade. For shame. We fear he's going to be stopping by The Minute again in the near future if someone doesn't go all Queer Eye on him.
Next time: Renny Harlin shows up to a Brentwood Starbucks in an eyepatch and pirate shirt.
