MTV's Dave Sirulnick Helps CBS News With Its Nipples

Drudge and the Times (apparently working hand-in-hand, judging from their ledes) reveal that a notable handful of entertainment execs were in last week's Viacom meeting to discuss the future of CBS News. Attendees consulted for the revamp included Terry Wood (the brain behind The Insider and Dr. Phil's empire) and Larry Rickel, who's served as a consultant on The Insider and Entertainment Tonight. As we've always felt the CBS news promos could benefit from Alice Deejay bumper music, their presence makes sense.
Also on hand was MTV news EVP Dave Sirulnick — who, interestingly enough, was the executive producer of the 2004 Superbowl halftime show. You know, the one during which the world was forced to glimpse Janet Jackson's exposed nipple. Yes, the man responsible for the entry of "wardrobe malfunction" and "nipplegate" into our national lexicon is now a cook in CBS News' kitchen, but no one seems keen on mentioning that. Must...focus...on positive...spin...
Poor Bob Schieffer. It's only a matter of time before they dress him in a sparkly pink bra and have him reading the news while performing an elaborately choreographed dance routine. Live nude footage TK.
