Randy Jackson's Favorite Weekend

As recently as Monday, the LAT wanted you to pay to read first-person accounts of how the famous spend their weekends. But now that we've entered the brave, new world of free content on the LAT website, we can all gather 'round the internet campfire and listen to American Idol judge Randy Jackson spin a yarn about his "Favorite Weekend" without breaking out the credit card. Despite his gastric bypass surgery, Jackson's love affair with food is as passionate as ever (though now ecstasy must be delivered in carefully measured tablespoons, lest he succumb to unattractive vomiting fits), his weekends seeming like little more than the stuff that happens between meals:
On a Friday night I like to take the wife to dinner with friends to Katsu-ya. I love the crispy rice and spicy tuna sushi...I can pick at things for dessert, but I can't do chocolate anymore. Other things don't agree with me either, like avocado...On Saturday morning I like to hang out with the kids and see what they want to do for breakfast. I might have egg whites with some kind of breakfast meat, and decaf tea...Later, we'll go to lunch at Cafe Med. I love the warm lentil salad, and my wife likes the spinach salad with chicken. Sometimes I'll just have the soup... On Saturday night, we might go out with friends to Ago. I'd have the beet salad and whatever the fresh fish of the day is...Sunday morning, we'll check out the paper and then go to brunch at the Ivy.
No! A cliffhanger! WHAT DID RANDY HAVE FOR BRUNCH AT THE IVY? We must know! Is there some way we can pay the LAT to find out if Hollandaise sauce irritates his stomach pouch, or if he can indulge in some seven-grain toast? And what about Sunday dinner? Oh, new online Times, your freely-given delights are indeed a double-edged sword!
