Big Brother has been watching you for eons, but today marks the beginning of some next-level shit, if you will. This morning, the New York Post online has started forcing its users to fork over their email, income bracket, and secret passwords.

We could bitch endlessly about the registration page, which isn't even working for several of us (update, 8:30 AM: still fucked up), but we're too busy reading the registration FAQ. It's a real knee-slapper! Apparently, this registration process is for "content and stories that are unique" to the Post. High comedy.

So now that it's finally happened, what's the real reason NewsCorp is all up in our business? Why this, and why now? There's only one answer: your registration data will be used to nourish Rupert Murdoch's evil vampire robot babies, who feed only on the demographic blood of your personal information.
