Dare We Rethink Maer Roshan as Web Visionary?

New York Times, 4/11/05: "Come the end of April, visitors to the Web site (www.radarmagazine.com) will be reintroduced to Radar, which its founders are trying to make irreverent, urban and fun. Then, by the time the magazine comes out on May 24, readers will have been primed for the first issue and be looking forward to the next. The strategy is highly unusual, and it reflects some of the thought that has gone in to making sure that this time Radar stays in the air."
New York Times, 4/21/05: "Creative use of the Web is also central to most magazine ventures. Luke Visconti, co-founder of Diversity Inc., a New Brunswick, N.J., magazine that covers issues about managing a diverse work force, started his magazine three years ago. But, four years before that, he started a subscriber-based Web site, as a low-cost way to build up interest."
Four years from now, it will be said that Radar's website was a low-cost way to oh, forget the snide jokes. Let's be honest: next week's launch of Radar: The Website will be the media event of the fucking decade around here. Got your photo for 15 minutes ready?
