Michael Eisner Ready To Be On Bottom
After years of holding Disney president Bob Iger underneath him, CEO Michael Eisner is finally letting the man chosen to be his successor to climb on top:
In a question-and-answer session with investors Tuesday, Eisner called Disney President Robert A. Iger, who takes over as CEO on Oct. 1, his "boss" and described himself as the "junior partner," according to a report by Merrill Lynch analyst Jessica Reif Cohen.
The "transition has already taken place," Cohen quoted Eisner as saying. She described the session as a "passing of the torch of sorts."
Don't be fooled by Eisner's submissive lip-service to being the "junior partner" to Iger's "boss." No matter what he's telling the press, he's a power bottom all the way.
