From the idiots what brung you "How do I pronounce US Weekly" comes a slightly more challenging question:

I am a great admirer of the writings of New Republic literary editor Leon Wieseltier, but I am shy about recommending him to friends because I can't pronounce his name. How do you pronounce Wieseltier?

(What, no mention of his sterling work on The Sopranos?)

Simple: It's pronounced "preten-tious blow-hard."

(That's for Cornel West! We still haven't forgiven you for writing, "the brother is no stranger to ivy, at least mentally," ten years ago, jerk.)
