From today's New York Times review of The Name of This Play is Talking Heads:

It's not easy being a writer in the magazine business today. Editorial content is becoming shorter, shallower and increasingly dominated by service journalism. But writers still have one thing to hold onto: television is worse. (At least that's what they tell themselves after receiving their paychecks.)

Also, this has to be some sort of new low in adjectival insults: "Marc Spitz, a hipster playwright and editor at Spin magazine." Man, what did Spitz ever do to deserve such a cruel appellation?
