'Post' Writer Faces Impending Stunt Puppetry
The war-torn Filene s Basement in Union Square is holding a disturbingly titled event called The Running of the Brides, in which brides-to-be will descend upon the Union Square location to find the perfect wedding dress at rock bottom prices. But because there s likely to be more than a little bloodshed at said event, the Post is offering one lucky lady the chance to beat the rush and have first dibs on the selection.
But wait, it gets better: the winner is to do her shopping at the insane hour of 6 AM and will be accompanied by none other than the Post s Wedding Page writer, Anna Jane Grossman. Great for the bride but, well, poor Anna Jane. Since when did she become the Post's shopping monkey? We encourage you all to enter this contest and, should you win, take her for coffee instead. Even better, just let her sleep in. She writes for the Post — she deserves a little sympathy. And yep, we're being sincere right now. No, we don't know why. Just roll with it.
