Barbarians at 'The Gates'
In mandatory 'Gates' news, New York Magazine finds a novel approach to the city's most written about public art project: how do 'The Gates' impact dogs? Apparently dogs actually urinate on Christo's masterwork (and some dogs even crap on The New York Times!), and, like philistines, they're afraid of them.
According to a psychologist interviewed by Benita Gold:
"To dogs, the color is not much different from the color of grass both are brownish yellow. But when The Gates move, it could be perceived as a threat. As far as they can tell, there is a really big thing with long arms that may be groping for them.
Groping in Central Park? What year is this?
