Larry Penner, International Man of Mystery
This week, The New York Press runs a letter from Larry Penner about the Brooklyn Nets stadium:
"The Brooklyn Rats" (2/9) was a great three-point shot concerning construction of developer Bruce Ratner's proposed Nets arena in Brooklyn.
Remember the closed-door private meetings hosted by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz in fall of 2004? Everyone knows when government officials conduct a closed-door meeting, it usually means that they have something to hide.
We point this out not because we care about the stadium or Ratner or Markowitz, but because we are huge fans of Larry Penner's oeuvre and any new Penner work is worth mentioning.
What? You don't know Larry Penner? Then you clearly don't read the letters pages of newspapers and magazines, where Mr. Penner is by far one of the most prolific practitioners of the lost are of the letter to the editor.
After the jump, a skim through Larryiana.
