Hell-Bent for Clarifications
Who knew so many people were so knowledgeable about leather?
Several readers wrote in about yesterday's post about what we thought was an odd Judas Priest reference in a FOX 411 report on Michael Jackson's baby mama, Debbie Rowe.
Many of you suggested that the term "hell-bent for leather" comes from the lyrics to the Rawhide theme. Another reader pointed us toward Word-Detective's entry that dates it back to Rudyard Kipling.
So, our apologies to Roger Friedman for suggesting he's merely a Judas Priest fan: obviously he's a great admirer of Rawhide and a lover of Kipling.
