Did Harper's editor Lewis Lapham change jobs without anyone telling us?

How else are we to interpret the announcement from Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism that he's lecturing as part of the 2005 Delacorte Lectures on Magazine Journalism series and that he's now the editor of Harper's Bazaar?

Lapham is a stylish fellow, but not the glossy women's magazine type.

Anyway, congratulations, Mr. Lapham. Would you like a 5,000-word essay on the Imitation of Christ show and the decline of faith in America for the June issue?
