Is New Beauty the most honest magazine in the world?

The new quarterly foregoes all that crap about improving yourself through more sleep, less stress, a healthier diet, and improved self esteem, focusing instead on "the latest advances in plastic surgery, dermatology and cosmetic dentistry."

As New Beauty's publisher, Adam I. Sandow told, DM News, "We've identified a niche that's absolutely underserved." Absolutely under-served, yes: possibly over-worked, maybe.

What's fun is that NB is broken down into useful sections like "Skin" ("All About Injectables," p. 64), "Face" ("I Want Luscious Lips," p. 88), "Smile" ("Irresistible Smiles," p. 124), "Body" ("Breasts Defined," p. 154), "Mind" ("Getting Into Mensa," p... oh, we made that one up), which makes navigating its content easy. (We did get a bit stumped when it occured to us that our faces and bodies are covered in "Skin," but we moved on.)

We fully intend to read this $9.95 bible of the new flesh when the swelling around our eyes goes down: we spent the three-day weekend "resting," as they say.
