Last week in an item on the Carnival Cruise Lines/Apprentice cruise vacations, we said "we're waiting for the Fear Factor cruise."

Of course, we were just kidding. But, since real life is now the punchline to even the most absurd joke, it turns out that NBC/Universal was already at work on a similar idea. Today's Times reports that:

[T]he theme parks of Universal in Orlando, Fla., and Universal Studios in Hollywood are planning "Fear Factor Live" attractions that will ask contestants to swallow the unsavory and perform stomach-churning stunts while vacationing with their families.


Sounds like a blast. Synergy at its best, right?
